Location & fees

*** Please note, during the Covid-19 pandemic I am not offering face-to-face appointments – all appointments are on Zoom (online video) and telephone ***

I am based at 5 Bridge Street, Bishop’s Stortford, CM23 2JU, which is situated in the heart of Bishop’s Stortford, with the town’s main car parks and access to public transport just a short walk away.

Pay & Display parking can be found at Jackson Square, CM23 3XQ, or the Causeway (next to Waitrose), CM23 2EN. Both are about 2-3 minute walk from the office.

The standard clinic hours are Mondays 9.30 – 17.00, Tuesdays 9.30– 17.00 and Wednesdays 9.30 – 14.30. There is occasional availability at other times.

Appointments are 55 minutes in length (unless agreed otherwise).

Initial assessment session: fees start from £100 per session.

Therapy sessions: fees start from £80 per session.

Assessment and formulation package: £250. This option includes a summary report identifying the concerns discussed; factors around why the problems may have developed; a psychological formulation or account of what has contributed and is maintaining the problems; and recommendations for next steps / interventions. The report will be based on the conversations at the initial assessment appointment and questionnaire data about the presenting concerns (e.g. anxiety, low mood, ‘red flags’ for autism spectrum disorder).

Payment can be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer on the day of the appointment. Payment can also be made at the start of each session, using a secure card reader that accepts all major debit and credit cards.

Sessions funded by an insurance company or other third party are charged at a higher rate due to a greater amount of required administration. Rates vary, depending on the requirements of the third party. I am a recognised provider with a number of UK health insurance companies: BUPA, PruHealth/Vitality, AXA PPP Healthcare, Aviva Health, Simply Health, WPA and CIGNA. Please speak to your company to find out what your policy covers, as policies vary. If you plan to fund therapy through your insurance, please mention this before when you get in touch to book an appointment.
